Color Box Manufacturer Tells You About The Creasing Of Packaging Carton

With the development of society and the continuous improvement of people's living standards, consumers are not only asking for the intrinsic quality of the goods, but also putting forward higher requirements for the packaging of the goods. This includes not only the requirements for the packaging design of goods, but also the requirements for the quality of post-print processing. It is called indentation to compact a part of the printing material to produce marks that make it have a certain unevenness in space.

The indentation processing technology was originally only used for the forming of paper packaging boxes, and then gradually applied to the surface processing of various printed matters, especially the finishing of the relatively high-end cartons, cartons, trademarks, and artwork. Now, the indentation technology is one of the important means to achieve packaging design, which not only plays an important role in the final quality and effect of the packaging, but also greatly improves the artistic effect of the printed matter, and gives it new functions. Important means of value-added and promotion of printed matter. Therefore, the indentation technology has received more and more attention from the industry, and the scope of its use has also become wider. However, in the die-cutting indentation process, a series of problems often occur, which affects the smooth progress of production. Therefore, this article uses the horizontal flat die-cutting machine to analyze the common problems in the die-cutting indentation as an example. , I hope to help the actual production.

Uneven pressure

We know that indentations are line marks caused by folding, squeezing, or wrinkling. The entire process of indentation is: design-proofing-typesetting-loading plate-pad version-boot-finishing-finished product. During the manufacturing process of folding cartons, the thread mark is a controlled deformation on the cardboard. The indentation principle is that the cardboard presses between the two fixed surfaces (concave die and convex die). The fiber structure inside the paper is damaged, causing the paper to be partially delaminated, and concave and convex line marks are formed on the outside. When the indented cardboard is folded at ninety or one hundred and eighty degrees, the fiber bonding (cohesion) inside the paper is completely separated.

There are two cases of uneven pressure during the indentation process. One is slight unevenness. If the pressure is slightly uneven, it may be caused by the uneven distribution of die cutters and wires (steel knives and steel wires), which causes the moving platform to be forced and skewed during die cutting. Balance the cutting line so that the platform is evenly stressed. It may also be affected by the fiber direction of the paper. When the paper is transverse to the knife line, the indentation effect is ideal. The other is severe unevenness. If serious pressure unevenness occurs at the four corners of the front and back of the platform, it is mainly caused by the inconsistent height of the four connecting rods supporting the moving platform. At this time, the cover of the die-cut base should be opened to check whether the swing rod is worn. If the wear is serious, it needs to be replaced, otherwise the four pressure adjustment oblique irons need to be adjusted until the pressure is consistent.mail package box

2. Explosive line (explosive color)

When the steel wire of the indentation die (convex die) is pressed into the groove, the cardboard is subjected to three forces: pressure, tension, and surface tension. In addition to permanently deforming the paperboard, these three forces reduce the cohesion between the fibers of the paperboard. When folding, the paper surface is subjected to tension and the inner layer is subjected to pressure. If the pressure exceeds the cohesive force between the paper fibers, the internal fibers of the paperboard will be broken, and the paper will become soft and bendable at the fold. But the pressure should not be too large, and the monster will break when the cardboard tension is exceeded (the cigarette box will burst when it is packaged). During the die cutting process, the surface tension of the cardboard will increase as the number of indentations on the cardboard increases. Burst line refers to the paper cracking at the indentation when the product is die-cut or when the finished product is folded. This is a common problem in indentation, especially in dry weather.
